I find my self for a short period of time in a far off and magical land. The manual diesel wagons that dance in the dreams of many an Oppo are very real here. There are brand new Mercedes buzzing about with strange ‘Taxi’ markings.

And two-stroke commie cars are tourist traps.

Peculiar indeed.

There’s a really farkin’ awesome little pizza joint out in Prinzlauer Berg, or used to be, but I don’t know how well I could direct you to it. OTOH, there’s a curry place not too far from Potsdamer Platz I remember being... not good.

Keep an eye open for 2CVs too, by the way. I’ve seen one or two there, and it’s one of the most hipstery German cities, so wacky things like that are to be expected.

Wouldn’t be surprised. I have seen many French cars already it’s cool. Was too slow on the trigger to capture a Kombi pickup that was mint.
